Rugs have been in fashion since decades. Every royal household, hotel, or a party had rugs spread on the floor all through the length and breadth of the area. There were many types of rugs available such as contemporary, traditional and shaggy rugs. The first two are still available but the latter became out of fashion.

Now with modern times and people turning to search for something new and different, Shaggy rugs are back in fashion! These are a specific type of furnishing that is made of very less dense when compared to the traditional rugs. Shaggy rugs are a style of the 60s and 70s but are again becoming popular. Shaggy rugs differ from ordinary rugs in two aspects. Firstly, the length placement of the fibres in shaggy rugs is much loose than the compact and super tight placement of the modern rugs. This is the reason because of which these rugs are easily distinguishable and look very different from the ordinary rugs. Secondly shaggy rugs are available in 3 varieties there are long shag, short shag and mini shag.
Just like other rugs, shaggy rugs are also available in a number of colours and are made of a number of materials. The modern versions are much better the old ones since they are much stringer to use and maintain.
